Beach Life in Trancoso, Bahia

Another traditional Brazilian fishing village turned hip Paulista hangout, Trancoso is famous for its Quadrado (town square) and the tiny little fishing cottages that have now been turned into international standard restaurants and hotels.

There’s nothing more delightful than finding yourself with a few hours to spare drinking cocktails at one of the local bars and the sounds of the local ambient house DJ. Trancoso is frequented by the in-crowd, it’s fun, trendy and a fabulous place to hang out for a day or two, or a week or two.

=> Take time to visit Trancoso, especially if you’re in Bahia, you’ll love it I’m sure and want to go back…just like all those other ‘70’s hippies.

ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS
..........................................................................................................................................

There are several very remote beaches to be explored nearby, Praia de Espelho (Mirror beach, 27 kms south of Trancoso) is reputedly one of the most beautiful and still has very simple accommodation and a few restaurants to chose from. This is where you’ll get back to the proper Bahia; lazy, but lovely.

There are also options to practice kitesurfing and surfing in the nearby beaches.
