In the June Bonfire Festival the whole city is lit by fireworks and pleasant bonfires. In plazas, schools, bars, restaurants, everybody joins this big party. There are even mock weddings where the couples follow the tradition of leaping over the flames.

You can enjoy dancing, drinking, eating, and sharing fond memories with people around the glow of the bonfires. It takes place on June 13, 24, and 29th. Europeans celebrate the feast of St. John on June 24th. But Brazil also celebrates the feasts of St. Anthony on June 13th and St. Peter on June 29th, expanding the party!
